What is a stock tank pool?
A stock tank pool is a large tank (stock tank) made of galvanized steel or polyethylene that is used as a small above-ground pool. At ILOTank, we sell tanks made by the manufacturer Hastings.
What sizes and materials do you offer?
Our Hastings tanks range from 6 to 8 feet and come in galvanized steel or polyethylene. Galvanized steel is protected against corrosion by a zinc coating. Polyethylene is lighter and easier to move. See all our models to compare them.
Does installation require any construction?
No. No construction and no digging: all you need is level ground. Your stock tank pool sets up in a few hours, then all that's left is to fill it.
How do I keep the water clean?
We recommend a submersible pump with sponge filters: it sits inside the tank, with no drilling at all. Rinse the filters regularly and remove surface debris. Turn off and remove the pump before swimming.
Which product should I use, and at what level?
Use chlorine or bromine (for example in a floating dispenser) and keep the level between 0.5 and 1 ppm in a galvanized steel tank. A higher level can damage the galvanized coating: never pour the product directly into the tank and never shock the water.
Can I heat the water?
Yes, with a submersible water heater. For your safety, always remove the heater from the water before swimming.
What do I do with my stock tank pool in winter?
Empty the tank completely, then flip it upside down on blocks so air can circulate. Do not use a cover or cushion during winter. See our winterizing guide.
What is the warranty?
Our tanks are covered by the Hastings manufacturer warranty: 1 year, on the structure only. Issues related to maintenance or excessive use of chemicals are not covered.
Do you deliver everywhere in Canada?
We deliver across Canada, except the territories: to your home within 125 km of our delivery points, or to a pickup point.

How long does delivery take?
Allow 10 to 15 business days in Quebec and Ontario, and 15 to 21 business days in the other provinces.

Do I need a permit?
Rules vary from one municipality to another, especially for fencing and pool access. Check with your municipality before installing.
