At night, an uncovered tank can lose about 2.5 °C (4 to 5 °F), mostly through evaporation. With the ILOTank cover properly secured, that loss drops to about 1 °C (2 °F). So you keep about 1.5 °C (nearly 3 °F) more every night.

🌡️ 5 tips to keep your water warmer

1️⃣ Cover as soon as you get out of the water — evaporation is the biggest source of heat loss.
2️⃣ Make the most of the sun — on sunny, windless days, remove the cover for a few hours, then put it back in the late afternoon to hold in the day's warmth.
3️⃣ Heat at the end of the day, then cover for the night — you'll find warmer water the next day.
4️⃣ Repeat the cycles — a 3-hour cycle with the water heater, a break to let the unit cool down, then another cycle. With the cover, each cycle builds on the previous one.
5️⃣ Choose a sunny spot sheltered from the wind — wind speeds up cooling.
